Mastering movement: How to stack your body using imaginary searchlights

Before Christmas we sent you a video showing you how to release your hips to get you walking, running, and jumping down the road (or trail) efficiently and without injury.

Of course, this is easier said than done.

Your daily movement habits, accumulated over decades, has resulted in certain movement patterns that become engrained and are difficult to untangle. Allowing your body to remember how to manage vertical force effectively may take a bit of work.

Here, I give you a couple of neat tricks to help with that. They involve shining a light out of your chest, and out of your bottom. What’s not to like about that?
